Seed analysis: playing Gremlin
Gremlin's claim to fame is the strangest stat in the library: over 20 beehives on the first continent, per Beebom and All Things How, with Haldor along for the ride. Atlas's real generator measures Eikthyr at 232 m from spawn, and our engine adds the rest of the numbers: Plains at 18.4% (the largest prairie share in the collection) and Swamp at 10.7%, with Haldor a measured 2,653 m out on the real generator.
Spawn and the first days
The opening is brisk — a measured 232 m Eikthyr walk, among the shortest in the library, means the antler pickaxe arrives almost immediately — but the seed's personality is domestic: beekeeping. Twenty beehives means a honey economy that outstrips any normal world: endless mead bases, honey for food recipes, and a comfort-building hobby for the base-designer in every crew.
Resources and progression
Plains at 18.4% is a statement — this world tilts toward the late game's golden plains, with barley and flax acreage to spare once you're brave enough. Swamp at 10.7% underwrites the iron era generously, Black Forest at 7.2% covers bronze, and Mountain at 12.1% keeps silver local. The beehive claim is about placement and density, the kind of thing a preview can't count — but a world this plains-blessed is exactly where apiaries thrive.
The boss route
Eikthyr a measured 232 m, then a well-mannered chain of altars stepping outward with no step that breaks the rhythm. Moder's plains altar is especially friendly for a seed this far from the polar extremes.
Traders and shopping
Haldor measures 2,653 m from spawn — the longest shopping trip in the measured set, arriving on schedule — and the honey economy funds him: surplus mead and honey sales mean the Megingjord, fishing rod and Ymir-flesh shopping list never stresses the treasury. Gremlin is the rare seed where the coin question answers itself.
Base spots and who it suits
Build the farm-and-apiary estate the seed is begging for — central Meadows-Plains seam, bee stands in rows, portal hub at the hall. Suits patient co-op groups who treat Valheim as a homestead sim with boss fights, and anyone whose favorite memory of the game is finally having enough mead. The beehive bounty compounds quietly: park a dedicated chest near each discovered hive, and by the time the mountain era arrives the crew should have enough honey banked to run minor mead brewing without ever scheduling a collection round again.

The preview facts and distances quoted above are produced by our own approximate engine at build time — the same seed always draws the same map here, but treat every number as a rough guide, not in-game data.
