Seed analysis: playing IronGate

SuperCraft curates IronGate as the all-rounder: a balanced four-biome center for first playthroughs, mixed-skill groups and build-focused servers. The name is cheeky — the studio's own word for a fair deal — and our preview paints the corresponding picture: 44.7% ocean, but every core biome row filled with workable shares — Plains 11.3%, Mountain 9.8%, Swamp 9.2%, Black Forest 8.7%. Nothing is token, nothing is dominant. It is the seed equivalent of a well-cut tunic: fitted everywhere, dramatic nowhere.

Spawn and the first days

The opening is deliberately uneventful, which is the point. Meadows around the spawn stones, the first altar at ~1.7 km — a clean second-day objective — and a Black Forest belt close enough that the bronze era starts on schedule. There is no gimmick to learn and no hazard curve to memorize, which makes this the seed we would hand to a group where at least one player has never punched a tree. Veterans will find it honest rather than thrilling, and the community's 'all-rounder' framing says the same in fewer words.

Resources and progression

The four-biome balance is the resource story: copper, crypt iron, silver and black-metal territory all exist in mid-sized, walkable shares, so no single material ever bottlenecks a session. 49 previewed dungeons is a dependable number — burial chambers and crypts without famine. Deep North at 4.3% is the quietest row on the sheet: the 1.0 content is present but modest, so polar expeditions will feel like a real voyage rather than a border hop. If your group's heart is set on the Deep North as a destination rather than a horizon, that is 18mang's territory.

The boss route

Eikthyr ~1.7 km, the Elder ~2.9 km, Bonemass ~4.2 km, Moder ~5.5 km, Yagluth ~6.9 km, the Queen ~8.4 km — as close to a textbook staircase as our library contains. One preview quirk to disclose: our engine did not place a Fader altar within its Ashlands search band on this seed, so the Ashlands fight will need in-game scouting — a good reminder that all preview numbers are approximate. The smooth curve is exactly what mixed-skill groups need: every boss one reasonable step beyond the last, no wild outliers to ambush a session.

Traders and shopping

Haldor previews at ~2.6 km — mid-pack, a karve-afternoon trip. The Megingjord arrives comfortably before the first serious mining push on most crews' schedules, and the fishing rod purchases pair nicely with the balanced coastline. SuperCraft's curated description doesn't oversell trader access, and neither should we: this is a seed where the merchant exists to serve the progression, not to star in it.

Base spots and who it suits

The balanced center invites a central capital: raise the main hall where the four core biomes meet, keep farms in the Meadows apron, and let portal spokes handle the mid-game. With every share moderate, there is no adjacency trap to fear — though the usual swamp hygiene still applies. Suits first playthroughs, teaching servers, and builders who want a stable canvas. If you want this balance with more land and bigger biomes, Vaaltorin scales it up; if you want it with a polar tilt, DEEPNORTH10 leans the same shape northward.

Community coverage: this seed's reputation is documented in the roundup lists at SuperCraft . Community claims were cross-checked against those write-ups before our own preview — including where the 1.0 generation disagrees with older maps.

The preview facts and distances quoted above are produced by our own approximate engine at build time — the same seed always draws the same map here, but treat every number as a rough guide, not in-game data. World generation can shift between game versions, and a seed documented before 1.0 may lay out differently after the update.
