Seed analysis: playing SuperSeed
PlayerAuctions calls SuperSeed the best Deep North seed in circulation — every biome on a single continent, bosses and traders aboard, plus two tetra fishing spots — and the measurements open with their own argument: Eikthyr a measured 228 m from spawn on Atlas's real 1.0 generator, comfortably the shortest measured altar walk in the set, on a continent-shaped 31% ocean circle where every biome row is filled, Meadows (1.3%) to Ashlands (5.7%).
Spawn and the first days
The famous opening delivers: a Meadows clearing, the stag a stone's throw away, and a continent that stretches north toward the ice. With every biome on one landmass, the first week doubles as a full reconnaissance — walk a loop, mark everything, and the entire campaign's geography is in your notebook before the Elder falls.
Resources and progression
Black Forest at 5.9% is the leanest row on an otherwise rich sheet, so choose the copper camp with care. In exchange: Swamp at 9.6% for crypt iron, Mountain at 11.8% for silver, Mistlands at 13.9% and Plains at 14.8% for the late eras, and Deep North at 6.1% with Ashlands at 5.7% bookending both extremes. The tetra spots the community raves about live in the cold streams — a rarity worth planning a fishing detour around.
The boss route
Eikthyr a measured 228 m, then a chain that walks you down the continent altar by altar — the Queen and Fader waiting at the wings — saving its sails for the true endgame.
Traders and shopping
Haldor measures 1,647 m from spawn — an honest trip rather than a neighbor visit. Combined with the tetra fishing lore, the shopping list writes itself: belt, rod, and the cold-water bait to make those famous spots productive.
Base spots and who it suits
One great continent base with portal spokes — this is the seed that made the 'portal capital' playstyle famous. Suits first full campaigns, 1.0 Deep North expeditions that don't want a nautical gamble, and any crew that has argued about which seed to commit to. The consensus pick for a reason. The walkable opening makes this a forgiving teaching world: new players can follow the boss road on foot while veterans handle the sailing errands, and nobody needs to learn boat handling until the base is already established and stocked.
Community coverage: this seed's reputation is documented in the roundup lists at PlayerAuctions . Community claims were cross-checked against those write-ups before our own preview — including where the 1.0 generation disagrees with older maps.
The preview facts and distances quoted above are produced by our own approximate engine at build time — the same seed always draws the same map here, but treat every number as a rough guide, not in-game data. World generation can shift between game versions, and a seed documented before 1.0 may lay out differently after the update. The “Atlas 1.0” rows are different: they come from the Valheim Atlas engine, which runs the game’s actual 1.0 world generation — those numbers are measurements, not estimates, and where the two disagree the Atlas figure is the one to trust.
